Peter Hamburger is a transportation economist with an MSc from the Erasmus University Rotterdam and a BSc in Civil Engineering at the Technical University Delft.
His extensive worldwide work experience includes multidisciplinary project management in (international) transportation; strategic port and harbor development; socio-economic and environmental policy; business consultancy; training and capacity building, public affairs strategies and public awareness.
Other fields of competence cover institutional strengthening through initiating and coordinating cooperation between private sector, (supra-) governmental agencies, NGO’s and a wide range of international bodies, plus implementation of new business objectives and facilitation of partnering
and mergers amongst industry members in the water and energy sector.
While residing in Africa his focus is on southern and eastern african countries.
